Camp Junior Lifeguard

American Red Cross Junior Lifeguarding is a precursor to the Lifeguard training and is designed for youth aged 11 to 14.

How does the Jr Lifeguard program fit into the LIT Swim Lesson?

Swimming technique and endurance building, an integral part of the Jr Lifeguard curriculum,  will be part of the LIT swim lesson regardless of participation in the Jr Lifeguard program.

Some days the Jr. Lifeguard participants will be separated into their own group and taught specialized curriculum.   Jr Lifeguard candidates are also required to “shadow” our lifeguards for at least 90 minutes.
